SPORTS BETTING: A THREAT TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN GHANA Sports betting is a growing threat to the development of youth in Ghana. Children in senior and junior high schools are often seen neglecting their education to participate in sports betting. The Gaming Commission of Ghana is responsible for regulating the activities of sports betting agencies and ensuring full compliance of the law.

Why are underaged persons allowed to place bets without any form of ID verification by sports betting agencies? Is the Gaming Commission doing enough to ensure that sports betting agencies comply with the law during their operations? What is the government doing to discourage betting culture amongst the youth in Ghana?
